CAUTION: This is not copy editing and you will need to have that done by someone who specializes in that if you don’t want to do that yourself.

What you get from me is me reading it over and listening to it read to me aloud via a program. Your document must be in a .docx format, and I will be using Word suggest to point out some of the grammar errors to you, but mainly I will show you and make suggestions on where you used things such as passive voice when you should have used a more active voice, where you need to show more and tell less, and other similar errors so your story has a lot more impact.

This is not the final draft edit, nor an edit looking at the whole of your work for plot holes, inconsistency or overall story weaknesses. It is just to help you say what you are saying in a stronger manner with greater impact. That is all. For the rest, you need to contact people who specialize in those.

Payment is due upfront.

If your work is longer than 50,000 words, you may either break it up or use the quantity option to get that amount. Example: 75,000 words would be 3, 25000 word blocks. You may also use the cart feature if you need to add together blocks of different sizes.

If you want to break up longer works and only pay parts of it at a time, that is fine, but only send me what you have paid for to Steinhausjames@gmail.com with Editing and the story name in the subject line.

Putting each chapter in separate files in the Email but paying for them all at once is not only acceptable but preferred for longer work.
