The second edition of A Fall of Ashes is now out.

The first edition of A Fall of Ashes had a number of scenes cut from it and others watered down. This was a mistake I corrected in this second edition, as well as fixing a couple of weak points. But it does make the story even darker than that edition. The fantasy world that Ashes comes from is racist and sexist, where even good and evil have tones of both racism and sexism to them and what is good and evil can differ by race, by sex and even by culture.

Into that world is born Ashes, who just wants a husband to take care of her. She doesn’t really care if he is that good a husband; after all, her father isn’t that good a husband, or father. With neither parent taking an interest in getting her the husband she needs, it leaves her open to being exploited and then trapped into being a slave by the boys of her village. But no one counted on her having magic or the witch of the woods taking an interest. But even that did not change her nature. She still looked for others to take care of her, leaving her open to exploitation over and over.

A hardback 8.5 x11 version and the 6 x 9 paperback version are available on his site, and a smaller 4.6 x 6.9 paperback is on Amazon for slightly less. The E-book is at both places and others
